A silica free play sand which is non-toxic and sustainable. Naturally renewable marine aragonite play sand that is odourless, silica-free, dust-free, and quartz-free with a smooth texture. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Supplied in a 9kg polybag. Baha Play Sand is nature’s renewable sand from the ocean. This Bahamian sand is derived from Oolitic Aragonite that naturally forms on a continuous basis making it a renewable resource and environmentally sustainable. It is a silica-free and safe sand for children. This play sand is raw, naturally renewable marine aragonite sand that is up to 98% pure calcium carbonate. It is tasteless, odourless, dustless, and sustainable. Combined with its non-toxic nature, size consistency, and smooth grain structure, Baha Play Sand is one of the world purest forms of the ocean’s naturally precipitated calcium carbonate. Oolitic Aragonite play sand is sourced sustainably from a renewable resource. It is safe, silica-free, dust-free, and quartz-free. The grains are smooth and round in texture and perfect for building sandcastles! Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This Aragonite is an ideal sensory sand material that is both safe for children and environmentally friendly. It is a pure Aragonite sand ethically and sustainably harvested from the crystal-clear oceans of The Bahamas, with no harmful organics or impurities. This play sand is dustless, round and smooth in texture, silica free, quartz free, and uniform in grain size. When moist, it’s perfect for building and moulding sandcastles. It’s ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The formation of Oolitic aragonite (biogenic CaCO3) occurs as a phenomenon described as a Whitings event. The Whitings are an accumulation of precipitated calcium carbonate induced by photosynthesis, occurring in blooms of phytoplankton, which seasonally enter the warm shallow waters of the Bahamas. During its formation, Oolitic aragonite sequesters tens of thousands of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere per year. Whitings continually replenish through the carbon sequestration process, naturally producing reoccurring deposits of Oolitic aragonite, annually. The USDA confirms Oolitic aragonite as a renewable resource, as proven through carbon dating. The harvesting process from the Oolitic shoals safely collects Oolitic aragonite and promotes sea life habitation.
