Set of 50 double-sided bi-colour magnetic counters, with yellow on one side and red on the reverse. Each counter measures 4cm. These two-coloured magnetic counters are an ideal resource for all sorts of mathematical activities, especially for addition and subtraction. Other options are multiplication by placing the counters in a grid (for instance 3 x 3 = 9) or use them to create a bar graph. The double-sided counters can also be used for more advanced addition and subtraction. The two colours can represent positive or negative numbers. Show that positive 3 (the yellow counters) + negative 2 (the red counters) equals 1.
These counters are also perfect for fraction activities. Place 5 counters in a line, all showing the yellow side. Turn one counter around, now showing red. What is the fraction of the red group? And of the yellow group? Turn another yellow counter around, so you have 2 red counters and 3 yellow counters. What is the fraction of the red group now? This can also be used for practising with percentages. The possibilities are endless! A must have in every maths class room. This set works perfectly with our magnetic 120 hundred board sheets (TEB6052 – not included and sold separately).
WARNING! The product contains small magnet(s). Swallowed magnets can stick together across intestines causing serious infections and death.
